Example: You planned to make a donation of $500 to AGS. You qualify for this program, so you instead make a $5,000 donation to AGS and pay $4,500 less in taxes! That’s money you would have been spending anyway – however, now you are changing students’ lives.
Donate to AGS in Place of Paying your State Taxes
Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Programs (EITC and OSTC) now offer a way for individuals to participate. Previously reserved just for businesses, these programs give a PA income tax credit equal to 90% of contributions made to schools like ours in return for a two-year commitment to participate. Beyond the reduction in taxes, you’ll pay, you will be helping to make it possible for students to attend Archangel Gabriel Catholic School who may not otherwise have been able to.

Who qualifies?
We know that not everyone reading this message has been blessed with the financial means to participate, so we encourage you to share this message with someone who might!
If you are an employee, shareholder, partner, or member of a business firm (excluding non-profit and government employees) and you can answer yes to one of the following two questions, you are eligible!
1. Did your individual income exceed $200,000 in each of the two most recent years or did your joint income with your spouse exceed $300,000 in each of those years?
2. Does your individual or joint net worth (excluding your primary residence and any associate mortgage) exceed $1,000,000 (net worth being your total assets less total liabilities)?
If you can answer YES to either of those questions, you’re eligible!
You will NOT be required to provide any personal financial information. You will simply be asked to check a box that indicates you meet one of these tests.

How do I participate?

2. We’ll connect you with the Diocese who will be able to guide you through the process.
3. You’ll make your two-year commitment of at least $3,500 per year.
4. You will receive the information needed to complete your income taxes of the year following your contribution year in plenty of time to file your taxes by the April 15th deadline.
